School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Apple Valley, California

A school-based LVN is urgently needed to support a student on an overnight field trip to Pali Adventures at The Rim of The World from April 6 to April 8 in Apple Valley, CA. This contract position requires specialized care to assist the student with catheterization and Peristeen bowel irrigation during the trip.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing catheterization every three hours, with a flexible schedule based on the student's needs and hydration levels.
• Assisting with Peristeen bowel irrigation once daily, allowing a 30-minute window and access to bathroom facilities.
• Collaborating with the student’s family member who is familiar with the bowel irrigation process to ensure smooth care during the trip.
• Providing attentive, compassionate care in an outdoor camp setting.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Current and valid LVN or LPN license, with school nursing experience preferred.
• Comfort with catheter care and bowel irrigation procedures.
• Ability to support medical needs in a non-clinical, field trip environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to respond quickly to the student’s needs.
