As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) supporting a school-based setting this summer, you'll play an essential role in ensuring the health and well-being of students during their summer program. This contract opportunity is scheduled from June 15, 2026, to July 8, 2026, with time off for Juneteenth and July 3rd. Your workday will be from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, and includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The assignment is strictly onsite, offering rewarding clinical responsibilities in an educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California LVN License required
  • Experience or comfort in providing catheter care
  • Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Ability to adapt to supporting both individual students and broader staff needs
  • Professional and compassionate communication skills
  • Female candidates are preferred, per the current needs of the student population

Key Duties:

  • Provide catheter care and address health-related needs for assigned students
  • Offer support to students and staff during field trips and other offsite activities
  • Serve as part of a pool of LVNs, assisting with urgent needs or staff absences as directed
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure student safety and comfort onsite
  • Effectively document and communicate any health observations or incidents per school protocols
