You’ll play an essential role in ensuring students’ health and safety, working closely with educators and school staff to foster a positive experience for every child.
Qualifications:
- Current LVN/LPN license in California
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct
- BLS/CPR certification required
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health care and first aid for students with acute or chronic conditions
- Administer medications and specialized treatments per physician orders
- Document health services, maintain student medical records, and track immunizations
- Partner with educators and other support staff to accommodate students’ medical needs
- Help develop and implement individual health plans for students as needed
- Act as a resource for health education and wellness promotion within the school
