School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Athens, Georgia

We're seeking two caring and skilled LPNs to provide one-on-one nursing care for medically involved students throughout the school day, including accompanying them to and from school via bus. The position begins with the upcoming 26/27 school year, with the detailed schedule to be determined.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Georgia LPN license
• Prior pediatric, school-based, or special education experience preferred
• Experience caring for medically fragile children is highly valued
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Proven ability to work well within a multidisciplinary educational setting
• Candidates must provide three professional references, including one from a recent supervisor, prior to interviewing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct daily nursing care to two assigned elementary students
• Accompany students on the school bus each morning and afternoon
• Monitor health needs, respond to emergencies, and carry out doctor-ordered care plans
• Maintain thorough documentation of services and health updates
• Work closely with classroom staff, parents, and school or district personnel
• Support student safety and ensure access to all school activities

Preferred Background:

• Previous school nursing experience
• Familiarity with IEPs and school-based health care services
• Confidence supporting students who require specialized medical attention
