Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, unencumbered LPN license
  • Prior experience with pediatric or school-aged populations (elementary/Pre-K preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to caregiving
  • Ability to communicate clearly with educators, parents, and young students
  • Comfortable assisting with student care needs on the school bus and within the classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily healthcare support and medication administration for assigned students
  • Accompany students on the bus at the beginning and end of the school day, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with school staff to create a nurturing, inclusive environment for students with medical needs
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate updates to families and school personnel
  • Offer consistent support for chronic or acute health issues, emergencies, or special accommodations as directed by medical plans
  • Foster trust and positivity in every interaction, serving as a friendly, reliable resource for students and staff
