Step into a rewarding school-based nursing role for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering a meaningful blend of clinical care and student support. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll provide vital one-to-one medical assistance for a student requiring G-tube feedings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the school day. In addition to individualized care, you’ll extend your expertise to other buildings in the afternoons, on Wednesdays when students are not present, or during any student absences—making a tangible difference across the school community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State LPN license/certification
  • Fingerprinting through OSPI required
  • Prior experience supporting students with complex medical needs, especially G-tube feedings
  • Ability to build trustworthy relationships with families, students, and school staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability to shifting needs throughout the school week
  • Commitment to fostering student health and well-being

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver morning support and G-tube feeding assistance as a dedicated one-on-one nurse, including bus rides to and from school
  • Monitor and respond to the student’s ongoing medical needs throughout the day
  • Serve as a resource in multiple school buildings as needed during afternoons, non-student days, or student absences
  • Collaborate closely with the student’s family, teachers, and school medical team
  • Maintain accurate and timely health records
  • Uphold safety, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and nursing best practices
