Take your nursing expertise into a school-based environment where you’ll play a vital, one-on-one role in a child’s educational journey. We’re seeking a dedicated LPN who’s passionate about pediatric care and ready to support a vibrant, active 5-year-old student with a tracheostomy and ventilator. You’ll provide critical support throughout the summer session and continue into the next school year, ensuring a safe, inclusive experience for both preschool and kindergarten settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active LPN or LVN license in Washington State
  • Experience with trach and vent-dependent pediatric patients required
  • Strong communication skills for student, family, and school staff collaboration
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and student needs
  • Previous school-based nursing experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care including trach and vent management during school hours
  • Monitor student’s overall well-being, responding quickly to changes in condition
  • Provide health education to staff as related to student’s needs and care plan
  • Maintain clear documentation of care and health interventions
  • Work collaboratively to support student participation in classroom and school activities
  • Assist with safe transportation to and from school as needed

Position Details and Perks:

This role begins with summer sessions at Olympic View, then transitions into a full-time schedule in the following school year (hours aligned with kindergarten). For the summer, work three mornings per week with expanded hours possible to support transportation.
