1:1 High School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Belton, SC

Key Qualifications:

• Current LPN license, with certification and nursing credentials required
• Experience with ventilator care highly preferred and critical for student safety
• Previous work with high school-aged individuals or in educational settings is a plus
• Ability to ride the school bus with the student to and from school
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and family members
• Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to providing attentive, compassionate care

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care throughout the school day to a high-functioning student with paralysis
• Attend to ventilator needs, monitor health status, and respond swiftly to medical concerns
• Accompany and assist the student during bus rides
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that promotes comfort and independence
• Maintain clear documentation and collaborate closely with the school health team and family
• Support the student’s participation in classroom and extracurricular activities, ensuring full access and engagement
