Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted LPN license in Alabama
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school recognized by the Alabama Board of Nursing
  • Associate degree or higher in Nursing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Direct experience providing nursing care in a K-12 school setting (required)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments and effectively support students and staff
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care to students with chronic and acute health needs
  • Administer medications, first aid, and emergency care according to individualized plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to coordinate care
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed, with a designated home campus
  • Maintain accurate medical records and care logs
  • Educate students, staff, and families on health and wellness topics
  • Uphold privacy and confidentiality standards at all times
