Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a male out-of-district student as a 1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). This vital role is designed to extend through the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year, with continued support anticipated into the fall and possibly the 2026/2027 school year. You’ll work approximately 40 hours per week, including providing care during school transportation as well as in the classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Massachusetts nursing certificate (LPN or RN)
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Previous experience with 1:1 support or working with students with medical/complex care needs is highly desirable
- Ability to commit through the fall semester ending 12/23/26, with flexibility for additional dates as determined
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate 1:1 nursing care for a student during the school day and throughout transportation to and from the school
- Monitor and manage the student’s daily healthcare needs and collaborate with educational staff and families to optimize support
- Maintain meticulous documentation and communication regarding the student’s health plan and any interventions
- Ensure the student’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times, responding swiftly and appropriately to any health events
