School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) | Blue Springs, Missouri

This rewarding contract opportunity offers the chance to provide essential care for students ages K–21 with a wide range of needs, including those who are medically fragile. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the academic year.

What we’re seeking:

• Active LPN/LVN license, with experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Confidence and experience with G-tube feedings
• Familiarity using Hoyer lifts and diapering multiple students
• Strong skills in medication administration and daily med management
• Ability to respond appropriately and compassionately to student seizures
• Clear professional communication with staff, students, and families
• A collaborative spirit and the flexibility to adapt to changing needs
• Genuine interest and enjoyment in working with students with autism, severe medical disabilities, and complex care needs
• Willingness to support classrooms with high levels of need in a specialized school setting

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering daily nursing care for students with profound disabilities
• Assisting with feeding, lifting, personal care, and hygiene
• Administering medications and documenting health status changes
• Responding to medical emergencies and maintaining a safe learning environment
• Engaging as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team
• Promoting dignity, inclusion, and well-being for students of all abilities
