Key Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license required
- Prior school nursing experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with common school health protocols and the specific needs of K-12 students
- Proficient in medication administration, first aid, allergy/action plans, and responding to medical emergencies
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, aides, and administrative staff to create a safe school environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily healthcare needs of students attending the ESY program
- Administer prescribed medications and provide first aid as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate relevant information to appropriate school staff and families
- Monitor and support students with chronic conditions and coordinate emergency care if necessary
- Serve as a resource for health information and wellness education within the school community
- Ensure adherence to all required state and school health policies
This contract role runs from July 1, 2026 through August 6, 2026, with hours from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm, Monday through Thursday—offering an ideal summer schedule.
