Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Boston, MA

Key Requirements:

• Valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license required
• Prior school nursing experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with common school health protocols and the specific needs of K-12 students
• Proficient in medication administration, first aid, allergy/action plans, and responding to medical emergencies
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, aides, and administrative staff to create a safe school environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily healthcare needs of students attending the ESY program
• Administer prescribed medications and provide first aid as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate relevant information to appropriate school staff and families
• Monitor and support students with chronic conditions and coordinate emergency care if necessary
• Serve as a resource for health information and wellness education within the school community
• Ensure adherence to all required state and school health policies

This contract role runs from July 1, 2026 through August 6, 2026, with hours from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm, Monday through Thursday—offering an ideal summer schedule.
