A rewarding opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care and support for a male out-of-district student near Boston, MA. This contract assignment is designed to run through the remainder of the current school year, continue over the summer, and potentially extend into the 26/27 school year. You'll make a real difference working closely with one student, offering personalized care and ensuring their well-being, including support during transportation to and from programs. Anticipate a full-time commitment of around 40 hours per week, with services aligned to the school calendar and specific dates extending through the fall semester (ending December 23, 2026). Additional dates may be determined as the student’s needs evolve.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts nursing certification required (LPN or RN)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Compassionate, professional, and adaptable with strong communication skills
- Ability to provide safe, attentive care in dynamic educational environments
Responsibilities:
- Offer 1:1 nursing services for a male out-of-district student, including during transportation
- Administer medications, monitor health status, and respond to any medical needs during the school day and travel
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other health professionals to ensure consistent care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with district staff and the student’s family
- Support the student’s overall well-being, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
