School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Boston, Massachusetts

A unique opportunity is available for a dedicated nurse to provide one-on-one care for a student within a school setting near Boston, MA. This contract position covers the entire 26/27 academic year, including the following summer session, and is ideal for a compassionate RN or LPN ready to make a difference in a student’s life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing support for a wheelchair-bound student with trach, G-tube, toileting, and suctioning needs.
• Accompany the student on van rides to and from school, ensuring safety and comfort during transit.
• Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and other caregivers to facilitate a positive educational experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided, observing best practices and school health protocols.
• Adapt to any changes in care plans and respond calmly to medical emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license is required.
• Prior experience in a pediatric, school, or similar setting preferred.
• Confidence and ability in tracheostomy care, G-tube management, toileting, and suctioning.
• Commitment to a full academic year and summer school.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Must be able to meet the physical needs of the student and participate in van rides.
