A unique opportunity is available for a compassionate and dedicated LPN to provide healthcare support in an elementary school from August 2026 through June 2027. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a full-time RN in a shared medical office, contributing to the well-being of elementary-aged students in a medically complex environment. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, with consistent daytime hours (8:15am – 3:15pm) and a weekly schedule of 32-35 hours, covering the complete academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current LPN or LVN license in Massachusetts
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations or in school health settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and document care appropriately
- Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and medication administration as directed by the school RN and student health plans
- Monitor and respond to student health concerns, injuries, and emergencies throughout the school day
- Support the RN with care for students with complex medical needs, helping to carry out individualized healthcare plans
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes for students
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and efficient healthcare office environment
