Make a difference in a child’s educational journey by supporting a vibrant young learner in a dynamic school setting. This role is ideal for LPNs passionate about pediatric care, seeking contract opportunities during the summer and throughout the school year.

You’ll begin working three mornings per week during summer learning — primarily with a preschool-aged child who is full of energy and curiosity. This student is a mobile 5-year-old who requires trach and vent care. As the new school year starts, your position transitions into a full-time schedule, providing continued one-on-one support within a Kindergarten classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN or LVN license in Washington State
  • Previous pediatric or school-based clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in trach and vent care
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and deliver compassionate, attentive care
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and educational teams
  • CPR certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care (trach/vent management, medication administration, health monitoring) for one energetic child
  • Partner with teachers and staff to ensure safety and full educational participation
  • Prepare health documentation and manage care plans in accordance with school policies
  • Support and encourage the child’s participation in classroom and playground activities
  • Serve as a reassuring presence for the student and her family

Benefits:

  • Opportunity for ongoing assignment—summer commitment flowing seamlessly into the regular school year
  • Hours that flex from part-time in summer to full-time, school-day schedule in September
  • Chance to build strong relationships and advance pediatric skills working within friendly school communities
