A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity is available at a school in Boulder, CO, supporting a medically fragile student. This position offers a unique chance to provide vital nursing care in an educational setting, working directly with a 16-year-old female student requiring 1:1 nursing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care tailored to a medically fragile adolescent within a school environment.
- Monitor, assess, and document the student's health status and respond promptly to medical needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure the student's health needs are integrated into their school day.
- Maintain compliance with district health policies and procedures, including proper documentation and reporting.
- Support the student’s participation in educational activities by managing medical equipment and administering treatments as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid LPN license.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with medically fragile students and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Successful completion of district-required fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals.
Location: Longmont, CO, at Niwot High School
Contract Duration: ASAP through 5/21/2026
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
School Setting: Onsite, no remote option
