Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active LPN or LVN license
- Previous experience working in pediatric, school, or similar medical settings
- Demonstrated competence in G-Tube feeding, oxygen administration, and oral suctioning
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams
- Dependable, compassionate, and adept at handling sensitive medical needs
- Current CPR certification required
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to a medically fragile child during classroom hours
- Monitor, manage, and document the student’s medical condition and interventions
- Administer treatments such as G-Tube feedings and oxygen as prescribed
- Provide oral suctioning and emergency support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to facilitate individualized care plans
- Maintain detailed and confidential health records in accordance with school policies
