School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Burnsville, MN

Qualifications:

• Hold a current K-12 School Nurse license (LPN or RN).
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Meet all requirements to maintain a “not disqualified” status following completion of a criminal background check and Minnesota disciplinary records review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver temporary and emergency care, including first aid, to students who are ill or injured within a K-8 building.
• Conduct health assessments and monitor students’ development, which includes administering annual vision and hearing screenings.
• Dispense, monitor, and document medications for students with acute or chronic health conditions, in collaboration with physicians and families.
• Communicate with parents and medical providers to manage medication adjustments as needed.
• Prepare and maintain first aid kits for both school buildings to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
