Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active K-12 School Nurse license and credentials in good standing.
- Experience as an LPN or RN within a school or similar pediatric setting preferred.
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Must maintain “not disqualified” status following a background and Minnesota disciplinary record check.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, compassionate first aid and emergency care to students on-site.
- Assess and monitor students’ health and development, conducting annual vision and hearing screenings.
- Administer, track, and document medications for both acute and chronic conditions, regularly consulting with physicians and parents as needed.
- Prepare and maintain first aid supplies across the building, supporting a safe school environment for all.
- Act as a health liaison, offering insight and recommendations on student care to both families and school staff.
