School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Cambridge, MA

Experience an impactful opportunity supporting students as a dedicated nurse within a local school setting near Cambridge, MA. This contract position extends through the entire 2026-2027 school year, including the summer session, providing important continuity of care for one student. You’ll deliver direct, 1:1 care for an individual who is wheelchair-bound and requires specialized medical attention, including tracheostomy management, G-tube feedings, toileting, suctioning, and other clinical supports.

As a crucial member of the educational team, you will accompany the student throughout their daily schedule—this includes riding the van to and from school. Your role ensures safety, comfort, and medical needs are met at all times. This is a four-day per week assignment, allowing for a meaningful work-life balance while making a real difference in a student’s life. RNs and LPNs are encouraged to apply; for RNs, hourly pay starts at $40, and for LPNs, pay begins at $30, with weekly, competitive payments.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license required
• Prior nursing experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Confidence in managing trach care, G-tubes, toileting, suctioning, and wheelchair transfers
• Experience with 1:1 care or special education settings is a plus
• Ability to ride the van with the student and provide constant attention during transport
