School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Cambridge, MA

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license
• Experience in a school nursing role or pediatric setting preferred
• Skilled in G-tube feeding and administration
• Confidence with supporting a student’s activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Compassionate communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of student health and safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one nursing care for an elementary school student throughout the school day
• Perform G-tube feeds with accuracy and attentiveness
• Assist the student with all ADLs as needed to promote their comfort and independence
• Monitor health status and respond promptly to medical needs or emergencies
• Document care and communicate with teachers, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate
• Adhere to all guidelines and policies to maintain a safe learning environment

Position Details:

• Hours are 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday, mirroring the school’s calendar
• There is no bus riding required; meet the student at the school each morning
• Contract position, providing the flexibility and focus of working with one student
