Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year supporting students within a dynamic educational environment. In this role, you’ll provide expert care to a student needing specialized respiratory monitoring, working onsite each afternoon for one hour to start—with the potential for increased hours as the student’s endurance builds.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Washington State LPN certification/licensure
  • Prior experience working as an LPN/LVN, preferably in a school or pediatric environment
  • Competency and confidence in tracheostomy care and monitoring (required)
  • Ability to adapt hours of care in response to a student’s emerging needs
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to student well-being

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student requiring tracheostomy support each school day
  • Monitor vital signs, manage respiratory equipment, and respond rapidly to any health concerns
  • Document all interventions and progress in a timely, accurate manner
  • Serve as a key member of the student’s support team, ensuring a safe and inclusive school experience
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhering to all state and federal regulations regarding student health data
  • Adjust your daily care schedule as the student’s stamina improves throughout the school year
