A specialized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is available for the 2026-27 school year, providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a first-grade student. This contract position is located in Centralia, WA, with work hours totaling 32.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care tailored to the health needs of a first-grade student.
- Monitor and manage any medical conditions or emergencies in a school setting.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Provide health education and guidance as needed to staff and students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN license with current state certification.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably within a school or educational environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to handle sensitive health situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with managing individualized healthcare plans (IHPs).
