Position Details:

  • Start date is August 17th, with the possibility to continue through the end of the school year.
  • Part-time hours: Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
  • Support a caseload of four students, split between two nearby schools.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Active LPN/LVN licensure in Illinois, in good standing.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued, but any strong pediatric background is welcome.
  • Reliable transportation for quick travel between two local schools during shift.
  • Warm, patient-centered approach to student care, fostering trust and comfort.
  • Strong documentation skills to ensure clear communication with school staff and guardians.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving needs in a lively school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and necessary treatments according to students’ care plans.
  • Monitor health conditions and act promptly for any issues or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate essential health information to staff and families.
  • Serve as a caring resource for students, providing daily support and health education.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student safety and well-being during school hours.
