School Nurse (LPN) - Cincinnati, Ohio

As a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll play a key role in supporting student health and well-being, working closely with children and staff from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current LPN or LVN license in good standing
• Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings strongly preferred
• Comfort caring for students with diabetes; two diabetic students currently require daily support
• Proficiency with vision and hearing screenings, as well as thorough review of immunization records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative team work
• Strong organizational skills to balance routine care and urgent needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily nursing care to students, including medication administration, assessment of illness or injury, and chronic condition management
• Conduct routine vision and hearing screenings according to school and state protocols
• Maintain up-to-date immunization and health records for all students
• Deliver diabetes care and education for students and staff as needed
• Promote healthy habits and respond adeptly during medical emergencies
• Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families
