Pre K Elementary School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Dacula, Georgia

A unique aspect of this assignment includes accompanying students on the school bus to and from their homes, ensuring their health and safety throughout their journey.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active LPN license in the state of Georgia
• Previous experience supporting children in a school, pediatric, or community health setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, medication administration, and basic first aid
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with students, teachers, and families
• Comfortable assisting Pre-K and elementary-aged students with various needs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for both morning and afternoon bus rides

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and attend to students’ medical needs during transit and throughout the school day
• Administer prescribed medications and perform health-related procedures as required
• Collaborate with school staff to address students’ health concerns and create a safe learning atmosphere
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Be vigilant and responsive during bus rides, ensuring safety, comfort, and appropriate interventions
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s daily health updates
