Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle school students as a dedicated LPN in an educational setting near Derry, NH. This contract position allows you to make a lasting impact by providing essential 1:1 care to two students throughout the academic year and a short summer session.
In this vital role, you’ll serve as a crucial healthcare resource on campus, ensuring the well-being and safety of students during the school year, from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM each school day. Your commitment will also continue during a four-week summer program (July 7 – July 28), running Monday through Thursday for 4 hours daily, with specific hours to be determined.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active LPN or LVN licensure, with credentials to practice in New Hampshire
- Prior experience in school settings or pediatric nursing strongly preferred
- Capacity for meaningful communication and rapport-building with children and school staff
- Reliability, flexibility, and compassionate care as a central practice
- Ability to provide attentive 1:1 support, including monitoring and administering medications, addressing daily healthcare needs, and responding to emergencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, direct nursing care to two students per assignment guidelines
- Maintain close contact with school faculty and parents/guardians as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and implement individualized healthcare plans
- Monitor for medical conditions, reacting promptly to changes or emergencies
- Maintain organized, accurate student health records and daily reports
