School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Derry, NH

Exciting opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) seeking a rewarding school-based assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year! This contract position is located near Derry, NH, serving a diverse K-12 student population in a supportive educational environment. Ideal candidates are caring, organized, and excited about working in a school setting.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN or LVN license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
• Ability to support the health and safety needs of students ranging from kindergarten to high school
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, manage medications, and respond to student medical needs during school hours
• Address acute and chronic health concerns within the student population
• Maintain accurate health records, follow care plans, and administer first aid as necessary
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to promote overall student wellness
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding students’ health conditions or incidents
• Participate in emergency response and health education efforts within the school as needed

This is a full-time contract position, with coverage of 35-37.5 hours per week, starting in August 2026 and running through June 2027. As part of a dynamic team, you'll help create a safe and healthy environment for students to thrive.
