School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) | Des Plaines, Illinois

Step into a fulfilling role supporting student health and wellness in an educational setting near Des Plaines, IL. This part-time contract position is ideal for an LPN/LVN who enjoys working with children and collaborating within school communities. Starting August 17th and likely extending through the end of the school year, you’ll work weekdays from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, offering steady, predictable hours.

You’ll provide direct care for a small caseload of four students across two school locations. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact by delivering attentive nursing care and supporting students’ daily health needs.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active and valid LPN or LVN license in Illinois
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and travel between two schools as needed
• Understanding of FERPA and HIPAA regulations regarding student health

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency healthcare services to students on caseload
• Administer medications, manage medical devices, and complete treatments as ordered
• Document health interventions, observations, and incident reports accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families regarding health concerns
• Support individualized care plans in partnership with educators and healthcare teams
