As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll work collaboratively with educators, students, and families to promote wellness and ensure a safe, supportive atmosphere where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students, adhering to school health protocols and state regulations
  • Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Assess student ailments, provide first aid, and document findings and interventions accurately
  • Manage and maintain student health records with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to develop care plans for students with chronic conditions or special medical needs
  • Participate in health screenings, immunization tracking, and public health initiatives within the school
  • Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and disease prevention

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, active LPN or LVN license in the state of New Jersey
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure or in emergencies
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate health records and adhering to privacy laws
