Certified Licensed Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Easley, SC

This contract opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) seeking a rewarding 1:1 position that allows for continuity of care and a strong nurse-student relationship. You'll work closely with a paralyzed but cognitively high-functioning high school student, providing essential care both at school and while riding the bus to and from campus. Your experience and compassion will ensure a safe, inclusive environment for learning and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license
• Certification and licensure to practice as an LPN in the state
• Prior experience with ventilator-dependent patients is required
• Comfortable providing 1:1 care to school-aged children or adolescents
• Ability to safely assist with mobility and respond to student medical needs
• Background working in school settings or with special needs students is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing care to a high school student during school hours and bus transport
• Monitor and maintain all medical equipment, including a ventilator
• Address daily medical needs, administer medications, and document relevant health information
• Collaborate effectively with school faculty, transportation staff, and parents to coordinate care
• Foster a supportive and safe environment that fosters the student's academics and independence

Schedule and Unique Perks:

• 30 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts (Wednesday off!)
• Wednesdays off as the student does not attend school midweek
