We're seeking enthusiastic and compassionate RN or LPN professionals to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile student. This contract role offers immediate starts and includes both part-time and full-time possibilities, giving you flexibility to fit your schedule. There are two positions available and a potential to extend into the summer session.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current and valid MA LPN or RN license
- Previous experience with pediatric care or working in a school setting is desirable
- Ability to provide high-quality, individualized nursing care for students with medical needs
- Commitment and punctuality, especially with bus riding required to support the student’s daily commute
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with educators and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile child throughout the school day and during transport on the bus
- Monitor health status and respond to medical needs promptly and effectively
- Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and document care according to school policies
- Communicate proactively with the school nursing team, teachers, and the child’s family
- Participate in planning for summer school (ESY) support from July 1 through August 6
