School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - East Weymouth, Massachusetts

This contract position, conveniently located near East Weymouth, MA, offers both RNs and LPNs/LVNs a chance to provide essential care and support for a student with complex medical needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Current Massachusetts LPN or RN license (required)
• Previous experience in a school setting, pediatric care, or working 1:1 with students (preferred)
• Comfortable riding in a van with a student to and from school as part of daily duties
• Ability to confidently manage care for a wheelchair-bound student with a tracheostomy, G-tube, toileting, and suctioning needs
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, attentive approach to student care

Key responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile student throughout the school day, including riding the van as needed
• Monitor and manage trach and G-tube, perform toileting, suctioning, and support mobility
• Work four days per week, averaging 25 hours weekly
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate regularly with school staff and the student’s family
• Adapt to changes in the student’s care plan and participate in ongoing training as needed
