School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid K-12 School Nurse license (LPN or RN credentials welcome)
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and maintain eligibility for work as defined by Minnesota regulations
• Organized, reliable, and skilled in pediatric care and medication management
• Compassionate communicator, comfortable engaging with students, parents, and academic staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer temporary and emergency care, first aid, and urgent response to ill or injured students on site
• Conduct ongoing health monitoring and development assessments, including annual vision and hearing screenings for all grades
• Dispense, monitor, and document medication for students with acute and chronic health needs; communicate with physicians and families about necessary adjustments
• Assemble and maintain first aid kits for use throughout the building
• Promote a positive, health-conscious atmosphere consistent with school policy and best practices in school nursing
