School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

This engaging contract position is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with experience or interest in K-12 environments. You'll become a trusted resource for students, staff, and families, playing a vital role in keeping students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active K-12 School Nurse license required
• Current LPN or RN license in Minnesota
• Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Able to meet background check criteria and maintain a “not disqualified” status per MN requirements
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communicator, comfortable collaborating with students, parents, and physicians

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver temporary and emergency care, as well as first aid, to ill or injured students at a single K-8 site
• Evaluate student health and developmental status through regular monitoring and routine screenings (vision and hearing)
• Dispense, monitor, and accurately record medication for students with acute or chronic health issues
• Serve as a point of contact and liaison, collaborating with physicians and parents for medication management and adjustments
• Prepare first aid kits to ensure both buildings are equipped for emergencies
