LPN - School in Edison, NJ

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a school setting, providing specialized one-on-one care for a kindergarten student with significant medical needs. This contract role runs through June 23, 2026, with a scheduled spring break from April 3-10, and operates Monday through Friday from 8:25 am to 3:25 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and continuous monitoring for a kindergarten student with medical complexities.
• Assist with feeding, ensuring proper chewing and swallowing to maintain safety.
• Monitor allergies, and regularly check the student’s temperature and glucose levels.
• Manage and document health information according to school nursing protocols.
• Collaborate with educational and healthcare staff to create a supportive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Must hold a current NJ LPN Licensure/Certification.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Ability to manage complex medical needs in a school environment.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers.
