Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Edison, NJ

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving as a dedicated nursing professional in a dynamic school environment near Edison, NJ. This full-time, onsite role spans 30-32 hours per week and provides meaningful daily interaction with a 7th-grade male student requiring personalized medical support. The anticipated duration extends from ASAP through June 22, 2026, with additional opportunities during the following academic year (2026-2027). Work closely with school staff and make a real difference, all within a steady Monday through Friday schedule from 8:45am to 2pm—giving you valuable afternoons free.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active LPN/LVN or RN licensure
• Prior experience in a school nursing environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency managing asthma and seizure care
• Experience with G-tube feedings, catheterization, and toileting support
• Comfortable with diapering and working closely in a 1:1 setting
• Ability to assist with bus riding duties to ensure safe transportation
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to pediatric care

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one care for a middle school student, including medication administration, medical monitoring, and direct healthcare interventions
• Accompany student to and from school via bus and remain attentive during transportation
• Manage and document treatments for asthma, seizure episodes, and any complex medical needs
• Assist with G-tube feedings, catheterizations, toileting, and hygiene maintenance
• Maintain open communication with school personnel and the student’s family to support continuity of care
