A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available within a school setting located in Elizabeth, NJ. This contract role requires dedication and expertise in providing comprehensive nursing care to support the health and well-being of students in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one nursing support to a kindergarten student with complex medical needs.
  • Monitor vital signs, including temperature and glucose levels, regularly.
  • Assist with feeding to ensure proper chewing and swallowing.
  • Manage allergy care and respond promptly to any medical concerns throughout the school day.
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff and families.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid New Jersey LPN licensure and certification.
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Strong observational skills and the ability to respond swiftly to health needs.
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail.
  • Comfortable working in an educational setting, supporting young children.

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, five days per week.
  • Hours: 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM.
  • Start date as soon as possible, with contract through June 23, 2026.
  • Break from April 3 to April 10 for spring recess.
  • Position located in Elizabeth, NJ.
