This contract role is tailored for skilled Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) with a passion for supporting children in an educational environment. You'll work 1:1 with a vibrant 7-year-old in Hudson County, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day—including accompanying them on the bus.
Ideal background and experience:
- Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of New Jersey
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatrics preferred
- Compassionate approach to individualized care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with staff and families
- Ability to remain attentive and responsive to medical needs in both classroom and bus settings
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing continuous 1:1 nursing care tailored to the student’s specific medical needs (full details to be shared during the prescreening process)
- Monitoring and supporting the student’s health throughout the day
- Administering prescribed medications and interventions as required
- Supervising and ensuring the student’s well-being during transportation to and from school
- Communicating regularly with teachers, school staff, and the child's family
- Keeping thorough records and documentation of care and observations
