School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Elizabeth, NJ

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid LPN or LVN license in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required
• Pediatric nursing background, especially with early childhood or Pre-K populations, is highly valued
• CPR and First Aid certification, with ability to respond to medical emergencies
• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized medical care to a Pre-K student throughout the school day
• Administer medications, manage medical equipment, and monitor for any health-related concerns
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to promote student safety and participation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records
• Participate in meetings and staff training as needed to best serve the student
• Foster a supportive and caring environment where the student can thrive
