Certified 1:1 School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Ephrata, PA

This specialized role focuses on 1:1 care for a student requiring skilled nursing support, specifically with suctioning and tube feeding procedures. Unlike many school nurse positions, this assignment does not include bus ride responsibilities. Instead, you’ll provide hands-on care in the classroom, contribute to classroom support, and offer valuable coverage throughout the school building if your assigned student is absent.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and valid LPN license required
• Certification in basic and advanced life support preferred
• Proven experience with suctioning and tube feeding techniques in a pediatric or school-based setting
• Ability to work collaboratively with another nurse, teachers, and school staff
• Strong communication, documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate and professional demeanor, with a focus on pediatric care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 skilled nursing care for a student, performing suctioning and enteral feeding as needed
• Monitor and document the student’s daily health status and nursing interventions
• Communicate effectively with the education team and nursing partner to ensure continuity of care
• Serve as a resource for classroom health and safety, supporting instructional staff as needed
• Provide coverage and general nursing support throughout the school building when the student is not present
