School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Evanston, IL

Step into a meaningful part-time role providing essential care and support to students in a dynamic school environment. We are seeking an LPN with experience or interest in working in school settings for a contract position beginning August 17th. You’ll have the opportunity to make a daily impact, working Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, managing a caseload of four students across two nearby schools. This schedule allows for work-life balance and the rewarding experience of working closely with children and educators.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN license, eligible to practice in Illinois
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
• Strong clinical, assessment, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a school environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned students, including administration of medications and treatments as needed
• Support students’ individual healthcare needs and collaborate with educational staff to ensure a safe school environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child’s health status
• Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with school and state regulations
• Travel between two school locations daily as required by the caseload
