What you’ll bring:

• A valid and active LPN license issued by the state of Virginia
• Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
• Comfort and proficiency supporting diabetic students and responding to seizure episodes
• Ability to provide compassionate care for students with significant medical needs, including those requiring g-tube or trach care
• Flexibility to assist with toileting, diapering, and ride district transportation (as needed)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• A patient, understanding attitude and collaborative spirit

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering health care support to students, including medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, and emergency response
• Supporting individual health plans and providing daily care for medically fragile students
• Monitoring student health and collaborating with educators, staff, and parents to facilitate learning in a safe, inclusive environment
• Accompanying students on school buses, ensuring their safety during transport
• Maintaining accurate health records in compliance with school and state regulations
