School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Fremont, CA

Make an impact every day supporting students’ health and well-being as an LPN/LVN in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, full-school-year contract position provides dedicated 1:1 nursing care for medically fragile students, rotating across different campuses and student assignments in the Fremont, CA area.

You’ll play a crucial role within the school community by delivering specialized care, collaborating with school staff and families, and responding to urgent health needs to ensure students are safe and supported. This is a deeply rewarding opportunity for nurses with previous school experience, especially those who thrive in diverse, fast-paced settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active LPN or LVN license and CPR certification
• Previous experience in a school setting required
• Skilled in direct care for medically fragile children and adolescents aged 4–22
• Proficient in diabetes management (CGM, carb counting), seizure protocol, gastronomy care, bladder cauterization, medication administration (EpiPen, Benadryl, etc.)
• Understanding of ASD and developmental delays
• Strong communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Ability to adapt and travel between campuses as an itinerant nurse

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing services to students with complex medical needs
• Review and implement individual seizure and health care plans
• Train staff members on emergency procedures and student-specific care
• Liaise with parents/guardians, building positive, supportive relationships
• Provide on-call support for urgent medical concerns during the school day
• Maintain accurate documentation on care and interventions
