Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Guadalupe, CA

Take the opportunity to make an impact in an educational setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. In this contract position, you’ll contribute to student wellness as a valued member of a nursing pool, offering care and support across multiple schools throughout the academic year.

Desired qualifications:

• Valid and active California LVN License
• Previous experience in a K-12 school-based setting, or a strong passion for working in pediatric or educational environments
• Knowledge of health guidelines, protocols, and California state regulations for schools
• Ability to adapt quickly, move between different school sites as needed, and remain organized under varying caseloads
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for students, including medication administration, first aid, and management of acute and chronic health conditions
• Support student health plans and collaborate with fellow LVNs, school nurses, teachers, and administrators
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation according to district policies and state requirements
• Respond efficiently to emergencies and health-related incidents on campus
• Deliver health education and encouragement to students, fostering a safe and inclusive school environment

This role offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours each week during the regular school year, working onsite across multiple school locations. For extended school year (ESY) periods, additional hours may be available to those who sign up in advance.
