School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Hamden, Connecticut

You’ll play a vital one-on-one role, focusing on monitoring and assisting with feeding and hydration through a tube, while also partnering with the student on age-appropriate educational activities. Your ability to combine clinical care with encouragement and support will foster this young learner’s growth and success in the classroom.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• Active and valid LPN or RN licensure, or CNA certification
• Previous experience in school, pediatric, or similar care settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student care
• Familiarity with tube feeding is a plus

Role responsibilities include:

• Providing hands-on care by monitoring, administering, and documenting tube feeding and hydration
• Ensuring the student’s comfort, safety, and health at all times
• Supporting the student during classroom activities and transitions
• Communicating effectively with educational and clinical staff
• Documenting care and student progress as required by school protocols
