A licensed practical nurse (LPN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) is needed to support the health and wellness of middle school students in Hayward, CA. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and is based within a middle school setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing basic nursing care and first aid to students
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring student health and documenting relevant information
- Collaborating with school staff to support student health plans
- Responding to emergencies and maintaining health records in accordance with policies
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN or LVN license
- Experience providing nursing care in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of state school health regulations
