Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, active LPN or LVN license in California.
- At least one year of experience practicing as an LPN/LVN; prior experience in a school or pediatric environment highly preferred.
- Up-to-date CPR certification.
- Familiarity with school health policies, immunization requirements, and IEP/504 processes.
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergencies, administer medications, and manage chronic health issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills for daily communication with students, families, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, including first aid, medication administration, and management of acute or chronic health conditions.
- Conduct and document health screening procedures, such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis checks.
- Maintain accurate student health records, ensuring privacy and compliance with all regulations.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support students with individualized health plans.
- Educate students and staff on health topics relevant to the school community.
