An immediate opportunity is available for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized care during an overnight school field trip in Hesperia, CA. This role requires supporting a student with specific medical needs while ensuring safety and comfort throughout the stay at Pali Adventures from April 6 to April 8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide catheterization every three hours, closely monitoring and adjusting timing based on the student’s needs and hydration levels.
• Administer Peristeen bowel irrigation once daily, coordinating timing to fit the trip’s schedule and ensuring access to appropriate facilities.
• Work collaboratively with the student and family members, including coordinated support with the student’s brother experienced in bowel irrigation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of medical care and changes in the student’s condition during the trip.
• Ensure the student’s well-being and comfort during transportation and onsite activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid LVN, LPN, or RN license with current state certification.
• Experience with catheter care and bowel irrigation procedures, particularly Peristeen systems.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, overnight field trip environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, family members, and trip organizers.
• Flexibility to start immediately and commit to the full duration of the trip from April 6 to April 8.
