This full-time contract position is perfect for individuals dedicated to supporting students with complex medical needs and collaborating within a school community.

In this role, you’ll provide vital care for a middle school student requiring ongoing medical attention, including feeding tube support. Your mornings will begin by assisting two students during their bus ride to school, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. The daily schedule runs from 8:00am to 3:30pm, offering consistency and work-life balance while the school year is in session, from late August through mid-June.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active LPN or LVN license required
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school nursing, or care for students with significant medical needs preferred
  • Competence and confidence managing feeding tubes
  • CPR certification and knowledge of standard medical protocols
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
  • Ability to adapt to changing student needs and handle emergencies calmly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care and supervision for a middle school student with significant medical challenges, including feeding tube management
  • Monitor and address daily health and safety needs in a school environment
  • Ride the school bus with assigned students each morning to provide care and reassurance
  • Maintain accurate health records and collaborate effectively with educational and healthcare teams
