This full-time contract role offers a consistent weekday schedule from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm, aligning with the academic calendar and school hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current Minnesota LPN license required
- Previous experience in a school health office or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, handle emergencies, and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, and school administrators
- Resume submission is required alongside your license for candidacy consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care for students, including medication administration, first aid, and chronic health condition management
- Monitor student health concerns and maintain accurate medical records
- Support the health education of students and staff by promoting wellness and hygiene
- Triage and manage health office visits, working closely with parents and guardians as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and outside healthcare providers as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to emergency response planning and infectious disease mitigation within the school setting
